On Sunday 22 March, Praga hosted Moldava Day, an evento that symbolically opened a new season on the fiume e drew thousands of visitors to the lungofiumi e onto the barche. The full-day programme offered guidate tours, gratuiti crociere, demonstrations by the rescue services e activities for famiglie with bambini.
Prague Boats took part in the evento aboard one of the most iconic landmarks of the Rašín lungofiume — the historic piroscafo Vyšehrad, which today serves as the floating piroscafo museo. Visitors had the chance to walk through its decks e interiors e explore the exhibition dedicated to the history of steamboats in Praga, including a look at the original steam engine e many unique technical details of this 1938 cultural monument.
The Vyšehrad is permanently moored at the Rašín lungofiume e no longer sails, yet thanks to the new museo exhibition the story of the Moldava's steamboats lives on aboard her. Moldava Day showed how strong public interest in this piece of fiume history still is — the deck was full of visitors all day long, e you can revisit the atmospqui in our foto galleria.
