The Grand Bohemia boat arrived in Prague on Sunday evening. Anyone who happened to be near the Vltava at the right moment could not have missed it.

This is a completely new and unique boat. The boat was built at the German shipyard Schiffswerft Bolle GmbH Derben. From there it set off at 8:00 a.m. on May 1 upstream on the Elbe. On the German section of the Elbe alone, it travelled 371 km.

Then in Hřensko it sailed in a tow formation with the paddle-wheel tugboat Beskydy. Thanks to it, it conquered the last regulated and navigationally difficult section already on Czech territory all the way to the Střekov lock.

Another difficult spot was passing through the historic Hořín canal, which is spanned by low bridges. The water level in this canal therefore had to be lowered. Thanks to the great efforts of the Vltava River Authority workers, this passage was also successful. In total, the boat travelled an incredible 520 km.

We have prepared photos for you. This is Grand Bohemia, please make her acquaintance.
