Ecology

As a successful company, we feel socially responsible for the environment in which we do business and in which we live. That is why we have decided to take the ecological path and do our utmost for a sustainable operation.

Greening our fleet

We started with a radical renewal of our fleet. As a result, all our motor boats now meet the strictest European standards, and some boats run on hybrid or electric propulsion.

Goodbye to single-use plastics

We also dislike the plastic pollution of our planet, which is why last year we completely abolished unnecessary single-use plastics in our restaurant operation. You simply won't find cups, plastic cutlery, plates or straws with us anymore.

Retaining water in the landscape

Modernising the fleet is far from the end of it. We are intimately connected with water, the shortage of which our country has unfortunately been facing in recent years. That is why we decided to contribute to planting trees that retain moisture in the landscape. Over the past few years we have planted more than 50,000 trees, and we are continuing this activity this year.

We don't waste

We try not to waste, so we compost all the leftovers from food preparation and the unused buffet in several composters. Just for interest, every day we make ecological use of around 80 kg of organic waste this way (roughly 500–600 kg per week), which produces 40–50 kg of compost. That is then used for fertilising trees and flowers.

Improving the urban microclimate

To help improve the urban microclimate, we have newly created a “green pontoon” on Dvořákovo nábřeží, that is, a pontoon planted with trees.

Keeping our surroundings clean

We regularly clean the riverbank and the banks of the Vltava, where unfortunately quite a lot of single-use packaging still lies around.

We're listening to you

We wish for our children and grandchildren to also be left with beautiful nature and pleasant cities where life is possible. That is why we are open to further suggestions for ecological behaviour. Help us and send us your ideas.

Electric self-sufficiency – our goal

Our boats are gradually switching to electric propulsion, and their total consumption amounts to 180 MWh/year. We already produce our own electricity right at the boat boarding point, where solar panels are installed; these generate 27 MWh/year. A second source, solar panels on the boat Königstein, generates 30 MWh/year. We are building further solar power plants, whose output should bring 100 MWh/year. Our goal is 100% electric self-sufficiency. What we cannot obtain from the sun, we want to take from renewable sources in Germany and Poland.

Electric boats

Anna Carolina

The newest fully electric boat of our modern and ecological fleet. Anna Carolina is a glass catamaran designed primarily for sightseeing cruises on the Vltava.

Marie d' Bohemia

Another of the range of modern ecological boats running purely on electric propulsion. It is designed as an elegant glass catamaran intended for sightseeing cruises.

Bella Bohemia

An ecological boat running purely on electric propulsion is another of our range of modern glass vessels. It is designed as an elegant catamaran. You will most often encounter it on sightseeing cruises from Kampa.
