Sometimes it takes very little to turn an ordinary Saturday into a small celebration. The right place, the right people… and a barco that knows how to set the mood. That's exactly what happened aboard Grand Bohemia, where we welcomed the stars of Karlín Music Theatre on the occasion of the premiere of the musical Frozen.
This time, though, it wasn't a classic press conference. It felt much more like a friendly evening than an official evento. At a time when rehearsals are at their peak and the entire theatre is living the story of Arendelle, time stood still for a moment — and the magic of Frozen was carried onto the Vltava.
The atmosphere on board was exactly the kind we love on our barcos. Relaxed, warm, full of laughter. Our catering team took care of the guests' taste buds, perfectly complemented by wines from the Vajbar winery and the legendary open sandwiches from Libeřské lahůdky. And although it was pleasantly warm on the barco, the mood was so lively that there was singing and dancing. Because when theatrical energy meets the rio, it's impossible to stay still.
And just to be clear, the actors definitely didn't stop at conversation alone. It turned out they have plenty of talent off-stage too. A friendly curling-style contest at the Petr ice rink, right on the Vltava, brought lots of laughter, friendly competition and proof that the stars of Frozen can handle even seriously slippery terrain.
Then came the moment when the atmosphere gently quieted down. In the magical setting of the Europe – Story of Lights light park, an excerpt from the musical was performed by Inez Ben Ahmed and David Gránský. And it was right here that the evening shifted from a beautiful experience into something deeper.
Together with Eva Burešová and her colleagues, they accepted a large box of Squishmallows mais deh toys, which will go to crianças in the oncology ward at Motol Hospital. A moment that showed that fairy tales aren't only on stage — they exist in the real world too, where they can deliver joy and hope. And a reminder that joy is at its most precious when we can pass it on.
This evening reminded us once again why we do what we do. That a barco isn't just a means of transport. That it can be a place for meeting, emotion and stories. And that, just like Frozen, cruzeiros with Prague Boats can captivate young and old alike.
Because sometimes Arendelle isn't hidden in a fairy tale.
Sometimes it's moored right on the Vltava.
