About the boat
The historic steamer Vltava is the last of the two paddlewheel steamers on the Vltava (together with Vyšehrad). The Vltava steamboat still ploughs the water surface and is used mainly for sightseeing cruises and trips to the surroundings of Prague.
Facts about the ship
- first sailed from the dock in 1940
- has undergone several renovations during its existence
- in 1991 it was converted into a restoration steamer
- the last sensitive reconstruction and modernisation took place in 2009
- on board you will find a restaurant, café, wine bar and bar
- in 2011 and 2014 the Vltava took part in the Dresden Steamboat Festival
