Do I have to book in advance?

Given the high demand, the New Year's Eve cruise on Grand Bohemia must be booked in advance through our online booking system . A minimum of two tickets must be purchased for this cruise. Your booking must be collected at least 30 minutes before the cruise begins. Payment in advance is required.

When should I arrive for check-in?

Please arrive in good time for check-in. Everything will then run smoothly and you'll get more out of the cruise. Boarding time is 8:00–8:20 p.m. The latest possible check-in is 10 minutes before the cruise at the office at boarding point no. 3. You must board the boat no later than 5 minutes before departure.

Which boat will I be sailing on?

This New Year's Eve cruise runs on our newest and most modern glass-sided boat, the Grand Bohemia, which offers: A spacious area partly covered by a glass roof A luxurious saloon with large windows at the bow An open upper deck and a bar at the stern

I'm vegetarian — what will I eat?

On the New Year's Eve cruise on Grand Bohemia we cater to vegetarians and include meat-free dishes on the menu. We offer, for example: Pumpkin tartare with bread chip Bocconcini salad with cherry tomatoes and lime dressing Greek salad with olives and feta A generous selection of desserts If you have other dietary requirements — for example, food allergies — please don't hesitate to let the boat's staff know.

Yes — you can look forward to wonderful views of Prague's landmarks and panoramas. From the boat's deck you'll see, for example: Prague Castle Charles Bridge The National Theatre The Dancing House And many more, of course. The route map above on this page will give you a quick overview.

Is there a guide on the boat?

Accepted Answer

We want you to enjoy your cruise to the fullest and learn interesting facts about the landmarks you see along the way. Available on board are: A free printed guide in 16 languages. Free Wi-Fi. We also recommend using the interactive guide, which you can run on your mobile phone during the cruise.

How do I get to the pier?

The main Prague Boats pier is by Čech Bridge , just five minutes' walk from Old Town Square . The nearest tram stop is Právnická fakulta (lines 17, 18), the nearest metro station is Staroměstská (line A).

Is parking available?

Accepted Answer

We don't have our own parking. We recommend the Rudolfinum garages, just a few minutes' walk from the pier. The easiest way is to come by public transport — the tram stops 200 metres from the pier.

What if I arrive late?

Accepted Answer

The boat cannot wait — it departs strictly to the timetable. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before departure . If you miss the boat, contact us as soon as possible at info@pragueboats.cz and we'll try to move you to another departure on the same day.

Do you operate year-round?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all year round. Sightseeing and dining cruises run every day. In case of extreme weather or high water on the Vltava, cruises may be moved or cancelled — in that case we refund the full ticket price or offer an alternative date.

What if it starts raining?

Accepted Answer

The cruise runs in any weather. All boats have a covered main deck with panoramic windows, so you can see Prague even in the rain. The open upper deck remains optional — you choose where to sit.

Are the boats heated in winter?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The main deck on every boat is heated year-round — whether you cruise in January or November, it's warm inside.

Do the boats have air-conditioning in summer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The main deck on every boat is air-conditioned year-round — even in the peak summer heat, the saloon stays comfortable. The open upper deck is, of course, outside and unchanged.

Are there toilets on board?

Accepted Answer

Toilets are available on all large boats . Wheelchair-accessible toilets are on Grand Bohemia , Bohemia Rhapsody , Agnes de Bohemia , Cecílie , Valencia and Lužnice . Exception: smaller boats sailing into Devil's Channel ( Elvíra , Mistr Jan Hus , Elektronemo ) don't have toilets on board — but the cruise only lasts 50 minutes .

Yes, all boats have free Wi-Fi — no registration, no time limits.

Will I learn about the landmarks during the cruise?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Included is PB Guide — our online GPS guide at www.pbguide.cz . It detects which landmark you're passing and offers text, photos and audio for 30+ Prague landmarks . It runs straight in your phone's browser, no app, no downloads . A printed guide in 16 languages is also available on board.

Question 17

Will I see Prague's landmarks from the boat?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The route runs through the historic centre and always includes Charles Bridge , Prague Castle , Rudolfinum and Mánes Bridge . Depending on the cruise length, you'll also see the National Theatre , the Dancing House or Vyšehrad , or the romantic Devil's Channel by Kampa — Prague's main landmarks from a perspective you can't get from the riverbank.

Is smoking allowed on board?

Accepted Answer

Smoking is prohibited on all boats — both indoors and on the open upper deck. This applies to classic cigarettes, e-cigarettes and all other forms of smoking.

Question 19

Can I bring a dog or other pet on board?

Accepted Answer

Small dogs in a carrier or on a leash with a muzzle are welcome free of charge on sightseeing cruises (including cruises into Devil's Channel). On dining cruises (lunch and dinner), dogs are not permitted — for hygiene and operational reasons. On New Year's Eve cruises, please notify us in advance by emailing info@pragueboats.cz so we can seat guests with allergies away from you.

Can I bring children? What is the child fare?

Yes, children are welcome on all sightseeing and dining cruises. Children under 3 cruise free , children aged 3–11 pay the child fare, from age 12 the adult fare applies. New Year's Eve cruises have specific rules — see the individual NYE cruise page for details.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Online when booking: credit card (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, Google Pay . On board, the bar and ticket office accept payments in Czech crowns (CZK) and euros (EUR) , in cash or by card.

Can I move my booking to another date or cancel it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You'll find changes and cancellation in the booking confirmation email . The rules vary by cruise type and time before departure — full terms are on the Terms & Conditions page.

Can I rent a whole boat for my own event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every boat in our fleet is available for hire — corporate events, weddings, celebrations, team-building, birthday parties. Email us at events@pragueboats.cz and we'll propose a boat, menu and programme to fit your event.
